SEA Chime Live
The SEA has partnered with PSAV at the New Orleans Marriott to provide technical support to the SEA 90th Annual Meeting. PSAV will support both the virtual and in-person formats of the meeting. PSAV utilizes Chime Live, an all-in-one, web-based platform, which will be adapted to the SEA Annual Meeting.
The SEA Chime Live experience is optimized for use on a web browser (best viewed in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Apple Safari). Chime Live has a listing of the full program agenda, links to all virtual meeting spaces for the breakout and general sessions, listings of meeting participants, and other resources and information to support a productive and engaging meeting.
Note that all listed times on the SEA website are Central Standard Time (United States) (GMT-6). When you log into the Chime Live Virtual Platform, the listed times will change to the local time zone on your device.
Information and Features
PSAV has provided the following guidelines to support your participation in the meeting on the Chime Live platform: PSAV – Live from the Living Room.
Virtual Platform Credentials
All registrants (virtual only and in-person) for the SEA 90th Annual Meeting will receive correspondence from PSAV to provide unique credentials to access Chime Live early during the week of November 16, 2020. Access credentials are restricted to allow each unique user to have access to the platform on only one device at any given time.
PSAV recommends that users follow the instructions to whitelist SendGrid, which will be used to distribute credentials during the week starting November 16, 2020: PSAV – SEA Chime Live Whitelist Information. See this example of what the invitation email will display: PSAV Example App Access Email.
Please note that all participants must register for the meeting to gain access to the platform.
Session information on the Chime Live platform will have searchable tags that allow users to filter the program and to build personalized agendas for the meeting. Tags will include JEL Classification System codes (and associated descriptors), Affiliated Organization Names, and other keywords.
Pay close attention to the drop-down menu settings when filtering the program. Depending on which drop-down options are selected, users may not receive the expected search results returned.
All sessions will be recorded and available for playback on Chime Live. Plenary sessions will become available for playback approximately 24-48 hours following the completion of the session. Breakout sessions will be made available over the course of the week following the meeting. Sessions will remain available for viewing on Chime Live for up to two weeks following the conclusion of the meeting.
The SEA will host the following plenary sessions through a Livestream option on Chime Live:
The Presidential Address and Annual Business Meeting (session 2.G.38), scheduled for Sunday November 22, will be an in-person session at the New Orleans Marriott, but will also have a Livestream option.
All breakout sessions designated as Virtual will be hosted exclusively on Chime Live. Please refer to the Program Schedule for a current listing of breakout sessions. The agenda published on Chime Live will include links to Zoom meeting rooms providing access to each breakout session.
Session Chairs will be designated as ‘hosts’ for each respective breakout session with the requisite permissions to manage meeting attendees, share screens, and designate control to other participants. Session Chairs will receive correspondence from the SEA to provide more details and guidance about management of the breakout sessions.
As mentioned above, paper presenters will have an opportunity to share working drafts of papers in PDF format, which will be uploaded for display and download on Chime Live.
