In-Person Sessions at the New Orleans Marriott
All breakout sessions designated at In-Person will be hosted exclusively at the New Orleans Marriott. Please refer to the Program Schedule for a current listing of breakout sessions.
These sessions will be listed on the Chime Live agenda, but will not be available for viewing or participation through the platform. The Presidential Address and Annual Business Meeting (session 2.G.38), scheduled for Sunday November 22, will be an in-person session at the New Orleans Marriott, but will also have a Livestream option.
Commitment to Health and Safety
The Southern Economic Association (SEA) and the New Orleans Marriott are committed to hosting a safe and productive live experience for onsite attendees and participants. Marriott requires all individuals to wear masks or other protective face coverings in all public spaces of the hotel, including the conference event spaces.
Presenters may remove masks while presenting, but should remain at the podium to ensure appropriate social distancing.
The SEA and the New Orleans Marriott appreciate your cooperation in complying with the mask requirements and social distancing recommendations and your consideration in conducting yourself appropriately to support the health and safety of all meeting participants and attendees.
Meeting Room Setup
All meetings spaces will be configured to accommodate appropriate social distancing and will be sanitized frequently over the course of the meeting.
Participants and attendees must refrain from moving chairs and tables in the meeting rooms to ensure that appropriate social distancing is maintained.
Each meeting room will be equipped with an LCD projector and VGA/HDMI cable connectors. Overhead projectors will not be provided. Session participants are responsible for providing their own laptop computers for use in concurrent meetings and coordinating compatibility with the provided equipment as well as with other session participants as applicable.
The A/V services provider will have a small number of VGA/HDMI conversion cables available (for laptop computers that do not have VGA/HDMI ports) upon request. However, given limited resources on hand, participants are strongly urged to ensure that they are adequately prepared with the appropriate connectors prior to the start of their respective sessions.
