The SEA 91st Annual Meeting will be conducted as a hybrid meeting. Many participants will attend the meeting in person at the Marriott Marquis Houston. Others will participate remotely using Cvent Attendee Hub. All registrants, in-person and virtual only, will receive credentials to access Cvent Attendee Hub.
The vast majority of the breakout sessions have been designated as hybrid sessions and will have participants and attendees both at the Marriott Marquis Houston and connecting on Cvent Attendee Hub. A small number of breakout sessions have been designated as virtual only sessions and will take place exclusively on Cvent Attendee Hub. Other breakout sessions have been designated as in-person sessions. Chairs and moderators for in-person sessions will have the option of connecting to Cvent Attendee Hub, but may choose to not do so.

Registration and Meeting Check-In
Registration and onsite check-in for the meeting will begin on Friday, November 19, 2021 and will continue during each day of the meeting. The registration desk will be located on the second floor of the conference meeting space, up the escalators from the lobby level. The registration desk will have the following hours of operation:
All in-person participants will be required to comply with the entry protocols for the meeting. Please visit the Health and Safety Protocols page for more information about the vaccine requirement, vaccine requirement exemptions, mask mandate, and the Marriott Marquis Houston’s policies and protocols for supporting health and safety at the property.
Meeting registration and check-in will be located on Meeting Level 2, up the escalators from the lobby level. To expedite the check-in process, all in-person participants are strongly encouraged to register for the meeting and complete the CLEAR health screening prior to arrival at the Marriott Marquis Houston. Participants who forego advance registration and/or certification of their health screening through the CLEAR app should allow extra time to document their compliance with the entry protocols upon arrival to the conference venue.
Registrants who do not comply with the entry protocols will not receive registration materials and will be denied access to the conference venue.
The SEA Refund Policy will remain in effect for the meeting.
Cvent Attendee Hub
Cvent Attendee Hub will be available as a web browser platform and a mobile phone application. Cvent Attendee Hub will have a listing of the full program agenda, links to all virtual meeting spaces for the breakout and general sessions, listings of meeting participants, and other resources and information.
Access to Cvent Attendee Hub is based on registration for the meeting. All registrants for the meeting will receive an invitation to access the platform with unique user access credentials.
General and Plenary Sessions
The Distinguished Guest Lecture (Saturday, November 20 at 5:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST) (UTC -6 Hours)) and the Association Lecture (Sunday, November 21 at 6:00 PM CST) will take place as virtual only sessions, livestreamed to Cvent Attendee Hub. Attendees will have opportunity to ask questions of each speaker using a chat feature embedded in Cvent Attendee Hub. The Presidential Luncheon Address and Annual Business Meeting (Sunday, November 21 at 12:00 PM CST) will take place as a hybrid session.
Breakout sessions will take place in 35 rooms at the Marriott Marquis Houston over the course of the meeting. Each meeting room will be configured to connect to Cvent Attendee Hub, allowing for remote participation and attendance.
Wi-Fi Internet Access
The Marriott Marquis Houston will provide wi-fi internet access throughout the conference meeting space. Participants will receive a wi-fi password upon check-in at registration.
The registration fee includes continental breakfast and afternoon coffee breaks on each day of the meeting, as well as the Presidential Luncheon and Annual Business Meeting. Continental breakfast and afternoon coffee break service will be ‘Grab and Go’. Socially distanced seating options will be available for individuals, who wish to remain in the conference area.
In-person attendance at the Presidential Luncheon and Annual Business Meeting is by RSVP only. A ‘Grab and Go’ option will also be available for the luncheon. Registrants who elect either to RSVP for in-person attendance or the ‘Grab and Go’ option will receive a corresponding ticket with the registration materials.
